Thanks for visiting the METROLINA HAVOC BASKETBALL CLUB fan site, this is the official web site of the 4th (2008) season of highlights and information. The Metrolina Havoc 10U team won the Division II State Championship in its inaugural season and have ranked in the top 10 (9th, 4th & 8th) each of the three previous seasons nationally, at 13U the team is seeking it's strongest year as players develop into the scholastic portion of their careers. A total of five teams organization wide have gone on to qualify for AAU Nationals since2005, along with one team participating in the USBA Nationals in 2006 and one team participating in YBOA Nationals in 2007.

**** 13U team finishes it's season by taking 3rd place in the AAU DII Classic Bracket. A disappointing end to a good season with an automatic bid to Nationals next year serving as the band-aid! ****

**** 12U Metrolina Havoc wins the Charlotte Nets Challenge 12U Division held in Charlotte, NC. Once again Coach Q's boys bounce back from an early loss to win 1st Place! The team is gearing up for a consecutive trip to AAU Nationals. ****

**** 12U Metrolina Havoc are Champions of the 4th Annual Play For One Day Tournament held in Charlotte, NC. The team bounced back from a opening loss to win consecutive games and a head to head tie breaker to become eventual champs! ****
5/2-5/4/08 YBOA STATE CHAMPS!!!
**** Metrolina Havoc teams place 1st & 2nd in the 13U YBOA DI State Championships held in Hickory, NC. The Forest City Heat were dethroned as the 3-time defending State Champions by the 2008 eventual Champion Metrolina Havoc team in the 1st round. The Championship game pitted both Havoc teams, (Havoc & Havoc Black) in an exciting game with the Havoc team winning a 56-48 nail biter with two starters out due to injuries to become the YBOA STATE CHAMPS for 2008! ****
4/18-4/20/08
**** 13U Metrolina Havoc teams place in the NCAAU State Championships held in Raleigh, NC. The Metrolina Havoc 13U team placed 4th overall in Division I, the Metrolina Havoc Black 13U team placed 3rd overall in Division II ****
3/29-3/30/2008
**** Havoc Black 13U team places 1st in the YBOA West Region Qualifier held in Forest City, NC. The Havoc Black revenged a pool play loss to the Forest City Heat by winning the Championship Game over Forest City 60-57. ****
3/8 - 3/9/2008
**** Havoc 12U & 13U teams are CHAMPS in the USSSA March Madness Tournament. 12U team went undefeated to win the 12U division, while the 13U team bounces back from two close losses to win three straight games and the eventual Championship in the 14U division. ****

**** Havoc Black 13U team are CHAMPS of the 4th Annual Havoc One & Done Tournament. It was the teams 1st Tournament of the season and they brought home the hardware. ****
What is the: METROLINA HAVOC BASKETBALL CLUB?
The Metrolina Havoc Basketball Club was established by Terence McMurray, former Head Coach of the Charlotte Royals and Charlotte Nets organizations. After gaining valuable experience Mr. McMurray decided to establish a organization that would provide an opportunity for players of different skill levels to further develop their basketball skills and increase their self confidence. HAVOC players must also learn how to balance the responsibilities of school, family and community involvement along with their participation within the basketball club and it's many events.
The goal of the HAVOC is to provide a quality, well organized basketball program that stresses 110% effort and a overall "team play" concept!
"HAVOC" stands for: Heightening the Athleticism and Values Of Children, which is key for the philosophy and dedication to all involved in this program.
